The Osborn house is starting to take shape! All of the rough-in is complete and we are beginning the finish out. We did some things in the rough-in phase that will result in an awesome finished product when we are all done! Above is an updated photo showing the walls that were removed to open up the kitchen space. Do you see them above? Oh wait, you can't because they are gone! We salvaged and restored all of the original wood work we could because it is so nice (see windows above)!
We are tiling all of the "wet areas" (kitchen and bathrooms to provide a durable flooring surface and a look you can't beat with vinyl...This is the real thing!
Because we opened up the kitchen ceiling to reconfigure the bathroom above, we were able to upgrade the lighting in the kitchen to canned lighting!
All of the spaces of the home where the wood paneling was removed were refinished with new drywall to provide a new construction look with original charm. These spaces have great craftsman style original windows! These newly refurbished windows with new refinished walls is a look you can only get in these beautifully restored older homes...better than new!
Stay tuned for the next post where things will really start to come together!
