The kitchen at the Osborn house is starting to look amazing now with the cabinets, counter-tops, and sink in! The best parts of this kitchen are the size and all of the windows that let in great natural lighting! However, the fixtures and backsplash selected will enhance this great space! We chose to go with white cabinets and backsplash and dark bronze fixtures to ground the otherwise light colored finish out. We will post photos with the fixtures as soon as those are available!
Adding crown moulding (as shown) is a simple way to add a deluxe look and feel to the cabinets. Also, we added a custom-made shelf to one of the cabinets to add a point of interest where colored dishes, recipe books, or fun accessories can be displayed for a splash of color in the kitchen!
In the dining room, we added the batten board we mentioned in previous posts. This batten board is a cool craftsman look and allows for a bold color above that won't overpower the room and will be a great contrast to the chunky white trim at the base of the wall! We can't wait until it is complete!!
The new batten board is a perfect fit to tie-in with the crafstman style original windows!
We can't wait to start getting some fixtures and paint in to finish these spaces and really bring these refurbished areas to life!! More to come soon!
