We are in the process of uncovering this beautiful gem! This home has great potential, but it also has a lot of things that need attention. It has great windows and interesting architecture. But it had some add-on work that was not a good fit and landscaping that had not been maintained.
We went to work and removed the over-sized bushes to provide a fresh canvas for new landscaping. When bushes haven't been maintained for a long time and get to be too big, there is no chance of trimming them to make them look good again. If we were to try and trim these ones down to size, we would have lost most of the greenery and may have killed the bushes in the process! Better to remove and start over at this point!
This craftsman-style home needed tapered columns. So, we went to the drafting board to design columns that would be a good fit!
These beauties compliment the existing home and look like they should have always been part of this craftsman-home. They highlight the existing features and maintain a clear-view of the front of the home!
We also removed the storm door and and scored a cool salvaged door to replace the existing plain, flat slab door. This vintage-solid door adds even-more to the great curb appeal and adds a color pop in all black!
We can't wait to showcase some of the Hip renovations on the inside in upcoming blogs! Check back soon!
